JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Compute Engineer to drive our semiconductor R&D ecosystem by ensuring efficient, reliable, and cutting-edge high-performance computing (HPC) resources for electronic design automation (EDA) and engineering workflows. This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and maintaining compute infrastructure to support advanced semiconductor design and development.
Key Responsibilities
- HPC Infrastructure: Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable HPC environments tailored for semiconductor design, simulation, and verification.
- Resource Optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams to maximize compute efficiency through workload balancing and scheduling.
- System Reliability: Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of HPC systems.
- Data Management: Build secure, scalable storage solutions for large engineering datasets.
- Automation: Develop scripts and tools (Python, Bash, Perl) to streamline system management and provisioning.
- Innovation: Evaluate and implement emerging HPC/cloud technologies, hardware upgrades, and virtualization solutions.
- Collaboration: Act as the bridge between IT and engineering teams; provide training and documentation on HPC best practices.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce protocols to protect IP and ensure compliance with data protection and licensing standards.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10+years of experience
• Hands-on experience with HPC systems, Linux/Unix administration, and scripting (Python, Bash)
• Knowledge of EDA tools, semiconductor workflows, networking, storage, and workload managers (Slurm, LSF, Netbatch)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with a proactive, innovative mindset
