Purpose
About the Company
Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components. Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management ICs, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCUs), and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets including automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications, and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibility
Role Summary
We are seeking a Core Platform Lead to architect, build, and scale a foundational data and AI platform supporting advanced manufacturing operations. This role is critical in enabling AI-ready data foundations spanning structured and unstructured data, semantic models, and ontologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and define the core data platform architecture for manufacturing, quality, yield, and supply chain use cases.
- Design scalable data models, storage layers, and databases for enterprise-scale analytics and AI.
- Enable data exposure for AI model training, tuning, and inferencing.
- Architect solutions to handle structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data including logs, images, and documents.
- Design and manage manufacturing and semiconductor ontologies using semantic and ontology tools.
- Build and operate data platforms using Databricks, Snowflake, and hyperscaler cloud platforms
- Collaborate with AI, data science, manufacturing, and IT teams to translate business needs into platform capabilities.
Qualification
- Strong experience in Manufacturing, Semiconductor, and/or Electronics Manufacturing Services domains.
- Proven experience in data model design, data storage, and database architecture.
- Hands-on experience enabling AI/ML platforms and exposing data for training and tuning.
- Experience handling structured and unstructured data at scale.
- Strong experience with ontology tools and semantic data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake and/or hyperscalers.
