Job Title - Device Modeling Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Device Modeling Engineer to support and contribute to advanced semiconductor device modeling activities at Tata Electronics. The role involves device characterization, model extraction, model quality assurance, data analysis, and support for innovative modeling methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in semiconductor device physics, compact model development, and characterization techniques, along with excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to ongoing device modeling activities within Tata Electronics.
- Perform and support device-level characterization activities, including:
- DC Characterization
- CV (Capacitance-Voltage) Measurements
- Noise Characterization
- RF Measurements
- PIV Characterization
- Conduct data quality validation and perform systematic analysis of measured data.
- Execute device model extraction and perform model QA checks prior to model release.
- Contribute to methodological improvements and innovative initiatives within the device modeling team.
- Provide technical support and address customer queries related to device models.

- Hands-on experience in extraction and validation of:
- MOSFET Device Models

- Local Mismatch Modeling
- 1/f (Flicker) Noise Modeling

- Ageing and Reliability Modeling
- Hands-on experience with DC/CV/Flicker Noise/PIV characterization using semiconductor probe stations.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor characterization equipment, including:
- Parametric Analyzers
- LCR Meters
- Flicker Noise Measurement Systems
- Understanding of device layouts and the planning/design of modeling test structures.
- Good programming skills, preferably in Python.
