Purpose

Tata Electronics is looking for a Facility HVAC and Mechanical Engineer to work on optimizing cost-efficiency, smart operations and green manufacturing. The mission of this job is to build an innovative and reliable foundation to manage facilities operations for an advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility.

As our Facility HVAC and Mechanical Engineer, you will not only operate a leading-edge fab, but also help us achieve energy efficiency by helping develop the technology for green manufacturing, including green building design/maintenance, utilities conservation, material reduction, recycling and reclamation, and greenhouses gas control and reduction.

Qualification

    • A Bachelors or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC/R Engineering, or other related technical fields.
    • An understanding of heat transfer, thermal management and fluid dynamics design and general knowledge of heat and thermal conventional manufacturing techniques are key to this role.
    • Knowledge on Natural Gas, CDA (Compressed Dry Air) systems, PCDA (Photo CDA) system, Make Up Air Handler (MAH), Acid, Alkali, VOC, and General exhaust systems, Hot and Cold-Water systems, Scrubber systems, Breathing Air, Process Vacuum, Air Flow Systems etc. is required.
    • Predictive, Preventive, Proactive, and Reactive Maintenance programs to sustain a 24x7 operations of the fab.
    • Knowledge on Statistical process control, HVAC trend review, analysis etc. are required.
    • Employee may be required to work outside normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
    • Shift work and emergency overtime are required.
    • Familiarity with vibration analysis is preferred.
    • Familiarity with air molecules and chemical analysis is preferred.
    • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary environment.
    • 10+ years of work experience of which 3-5 years of experience should be in semiconductor fab.
    • Experience with mechanical systems operations in the semiconductor manufacturing industry is preferred.
    • An understanding of HVAC, plumbing and building codes (in particular ASHRAE, IBC, IECC, IMC, and IPC).
    • Experience with AutoCAD.
    • Cleanroom Standard ISO14644.
    • Knowledge on KPI and KRA

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conceptualization, engineering design, analysis, specifications, calculations and documentation of mechanical hardware and/or systems for use in semiconductor manufacturing.
    • Working with Design or Project Management organizations on large-scale designs and projects.
    • Construction administration & site observations.
    • Daily systems operation and operation data analysis
    • Monitoring and management of utilities distribution, including power, steam, natural gas, water, compressed gases, instrumentation and control and so on.
    • Routine system preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
