Purpose
- UPW Systems: Design, build and operate a start-of art ultra-pure water system, including diversified unit operation to produce the ultra-pure water from tap water for the 90nm-22nm fab production.
- Waste Water Treatment Systems: Design, build and operate comprehensive and multiple post-treatment systems, including Ion exchange, reverse osmosis, membrane degassing, multimedia filtering, activated carbon absorption, plating technology, biological treatment and so on. The purpose is to comply with the code requirement and maximize reclamation from 5nm fab production.
Key Responsibility
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Conceptualization, engineering design, analysis, specifications, calculations and documentation of water treatment hardware and/or systems for use in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Working with Design or Project Management organizations on large-scale designs and projects.
• Construction administration & site observations.
• Daily systems operation and operation data analysis.
• Collecting daily process samples and conducting related lab work and reporting requirements.
• Monitoring and management of utilities distribution, including power, steam, natural gas, water, compressed gases, instrumentation and control and so on.
• Routine system preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
Qualification
-
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Wastewater Treatment Technology or other related technical fields.
- An understanding of advanced chemical engineering kinetics, chemical reaction, fluid dynamics design, heat transfer, and thermal management is key to this role.
- Knowledge on Ultra Pure Water, Water Reclamation Systems (WWR, AWR, FWL, CMP), Process Supply and Drain Water piping, Scrubber Water Reclaim, Waste Water Treatment, Electrolysis, Acid and Organic Waste Treatment and Reclamation, Vacuum Systems, Chemical Analysis to ensure chemical removal etc.
- Predictive, Preventive, Proactive, and Reactive Maintenance programs to sustain a 24x7 operations of the fab.
- Knowledge on Statistical process control, SCADA design, trend review, analysis etc. are required.
- Employee may be required to work outside normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Shift work and emergency overtime are required.
- Familiarity with chemical analysis is preferred.
- Able to work in a fast–paced, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary environment.
Experience
-
- 10+ years of work experience, of which 3-5 years of experience should be in fab.
- Experience with UPW and Wastewater treatment systems operations in the semiconductor manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Possess at least a Level Wastewater Treatment Certification from the EPA is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
