Job Responsibilities :

 

  • Provide support to MES Software ( IBM SiView would be a plus )   and other shop floor applications
  • The MES Developer is responsible for the application development for MES software as well as execution of application version change and testing. The role will partner with FAB Quality team and Operations team to analyze and verify operational needs, and to understand business objectives and goals.
  • Collaborate closely with fab organization, operation users and partners to implement and develop robust CIM solutions through quality coding and testing.
  • Working closely with the manufacturing (MFG) and Quality teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Operational support responsibility:
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and various other support groups to determine design, modelling, and script requirements.
  • Provide consistent support to operations by application deployment and training setup.
  • Ensure high uptime and reliability of CIM related Systems.
  • Implement adhoc requests to alleviate operational pain points.
  • Creating documentation, including writing protocols and reports, and other documents such as trace matrices, test cases, and validation protocols and reports. 
  • Interface with cross-functional teams and manufacturing personnel to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
  • Author work instruction and process documentation describing the setup and maintenance of MES processes.
  • Design and implement a data management strategy for integration of MES solutions with existing ERP and manufacturing related databases.
  • Perform troubleshooting of CIM issues and resolving them in a timely manner, focusing on both hardware and software causes.
  • Participate in shift pass-down meetings and provide detailed reports or feedback on issues to the production and engineering teams.
  • On-call is a necessity, or when on rotation basis, to support 24x7 operations.
  • Monitor, track, and report operations performance to Operations Management team
  • Share “lessons learned” with the production and engineering teams to improve line issues resolution and system optimization.
  • Performs comprehensive functionality tests of new and updated applications to verify desired results are
    achieved.
  • Perform or assist in root cause investigations and MES changes/updates.
  • Make required configuration changes as requested by functional team
  • Trains other developers on MES technical development.
  • Communicate configurations / customizations to technical team
  • Script / code enhancements

 

Essential Attributes :

 

  • Strong programming skills in C, C#, C++, Java, SQL with minimum 2 years of development work.
  • Keen interest to work in clean room environment, Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) projects and conduct quality checks.
  • Strong sense of urgency in CIM operation support and execution.
  • Practical problem-solving abilities during production-critical situations, while remaining composed under pressure, especially during system failures or production issues.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging CIM systems.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Excellent teamwork skills to work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams.
  • Enthusiasm to learn new technologies, tools, and systems related to semiconductor domain and CIM implementation.
  • Adapt to dynamic manufacturing environments and evolving needs.
  • Strong time-management ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

 

Qualifications : 

 

BE Degree in Mechanical (automation, robotics) or Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

 

Desired Experience Level :

 

2 to 15yrs of Experience in semiconductor foundry environment and/ or DevOps tool is a plus.
