Responsibilities :

 

We are looking for an experienced Servers and System Support Engineer to manage, maintain, and support the company’s server infrastructure and enterprise IT systems. The role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and core applications across on-premises and cloud environments.

 

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers in physical and virtual environments.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and enterprise authentication services.
  • Provide support for virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent).
  • Perform server patching, firmware upgrades, and system hardening for compliance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents.
  • Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support enterprise applications (Exchange, SharePoint, Office 365, etc.).
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to deliver end-to-end IT solutions.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Ensure security standards and compliance requirements are met (ISO, SOC, GDPR, etc.).

 

Qualifications : 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in server/system administration and support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and/or Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
  • Good understanding of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, etc.).
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications preferred: MCSA/MCSE, RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, CompTIA Server+.

 

Desired Experience Level : 

 

  • Knowledge of scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
  • Experience in storage management (SAN/NAS).
  • Exposure to cybersecurity practices and endpoint protection.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong customer focus.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
