Job Responsibilities

  • Perform in‑process quality control inspections at various stages of semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Follow established quality control procedures to identify defects and deviations in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct statistical data collection and support root cause analysis to identify quality trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records and quality reports.
  • Work closely with production teams to provide real‑time quality feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits to check adherence to quality control procedures and work instructions.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Support cross‑functional teams to integrate quality control requirements during new product introduction (NPI).

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Materials Science
    • Or a related technical field

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with backend semiconductor processes such as:
    • Wafer taping and detaping
    • Wafer backgrinding
    • Wafer sawing
    • Laser grooving
    • Die attach
    • Plasma cleaning
    • Wire bonding

Technical Skills

  • Hands‑on experience using quality control tools, including:

    • SPC
    • FMEA
    • MSA
    • 8D
    • 7 QC tools
  • Experience performing and evaluating:

    • Wafer thickness and roughness measurements
    • Bond line thickness measurements
    • Die shear testing
    • Wire pull testing
    • Ball shear testing
  • Ability to assess product quality as per defined specifications and requirements.
