Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence. Job Overview:
The Line Leader is responsible for supervising and leading a team of production workers to ensure the efficient, safe, and quality-focused operation of the production line. This role includes overseeing day-to-day production activities, maintaining productivity, ensuring safety compliance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Roles and Responsibilites:
- Identify and address issues that may affect production, such as equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or bottlenecks. Communicate with maintenance or engineering teams to ensure quick resolutions
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production goals
- Ensure that all products meet company and industry quality standards. Conduct quality checks and audits as needed.
- perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance to minimize down time
- Provide year over year Equipment / Process performance improvement (e.g. cycle time reduction, OEE improvement)
- Responsible for the initiation, planning, implementation & control of the activity in his / her area of responsibility
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production. Collaborate with supply chain or materials management teams to ensure timely availability
- Responsible of reaching the targeted KPIs in his/her equipment (ex: scrap rate, yield improvements” “zero ppm" "OTD"" etc.)
- Provide technical support, capability improvement, standardized work, immediate problem solving.
- Respond to the production alarm systems, which is activated, if the realization of the production plan or the product quality is in danger.
- Work closely with process engineers to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
- Implement upgrades or modification to improve functionality.
- In case of supplier issue the failures must be documented and reported.
- Report the project status on timing, quality, and risk to Group Leader.
- Drive new process technology and continuous improvement. Ensure projects are completed on time.
- Responsible for implementing the best preventive and corrective measures for ensuring the best quality, highest equipment availability and the minimum costs.
- Develop solution to make Equipment / Process more reliable using local material and with lower cost.
Relavent years of experience: Minimum 5+years relavent experience.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, electrical) or other related field or equivalent education.
Essential Attributes:
- Experience with semiconductor assembly equipments , Quality standards and MS Office, MS Project, operating system
- Knowledg on OEE,Yield,cycle time,OTD,Capacity planning,MRB etc...
- Good English knowledge (writing, reading, and speaking)
- Knowledge of Electronics / Electrotechnics, Automation, Mechanics / Mechatronics, Product Design (3D CAD) Software
- Process specific knowledge (technology, process, material, supplier, etc) of his/her process ownership
- Knowledge of Production Processes: Understanding of manufacturing processes, production machinery, and assembly line operations.
