Quality Management System (QMS) Leader – TSAT
Role Overview
The Quality Management System (QMS) Leader is a critical role within our semiconductor assembly and test facility. This position is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The QMS Leader leads a team of quality professionals and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and uphold the highest standards of product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain Quality Management System
- Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF/TS 16949, ISO 26262, ISO 13485, and other applicable standards.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with QMS requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop, review, and update quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation to align with industry best practices.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of quality assurance professionals through guidance, coaching, and mentorship to foster a strong quality culture.
- Define clear roles and responsibilities within the quality organization and promote effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, and provide continuous feedback to support professional growth and development.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of quality processes.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving activities using Six Sigma, Lean, DMAIC, and other quality methodologies.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
- Stay current with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer-specific quality expectations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and customer requirements, including IATF/TS 16949 and AS9100 (as applicable).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and regulatory inspections, coordinating audit preparation, execution, and timely closure of findings.
Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand and address customer quality requirements, expectations, and feedback.
- Proactively manage customer concerns and implement effective corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.
- Support customer audits and visits by presenting quality performance data and demonstrating commitment to quality excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management roles within semiconductor manufacturing, with a focus on backend assembly and test processes.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, IATF/TS 16949, ISO 26262, ISO 13485) and regulatory requirements (e.g., RoHS, SEMI).
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement using Six Sigma, Lean, and related methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent certifications preferred.
