Position Overview

The Senior Manager – QMS is a strategic leader responsible for driving the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Quality Management System. This role ensures compliance with global quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while fostering a culture of quality excellence across the enterprise. The position involves leading cross-functional teams, managing audits, and influencing organizational strategy to achieve world-class quality performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership in Quality Management Systems

  • Define and execute the organization’s QMS strategy aligned with business objectives and global standards.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of QMS in compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 26262, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and best practices to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
  • Establish governance for documentation control, standardization, and quality assurance across all functions.

2. Compliance, Certifications & Regulatory Affairs

  • Ensure adherence to international standards and regulatory requirements including RoHS, SEMI, AS9100, and customer-specific mandates.
  • Lead certification audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections; act as the primary liaison with external auditors and certification bodies.
  • Drive timely closure of audit findings through robust Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) systems.
  • Monitor global regulatory trends and proactively update organizational policies to maintain compliance.

3. Customer Quality & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the senior quality representative in customer interactions, audits, and technical reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers by addressing quality concerns, presenting performance metrics, and demonstrating commitment to excellence.
  • Implement Voice of Customer (VoC) programs and integrate feedback into quality improvement initiatives.

4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and develop quality teams to build strong technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the quality function.
  • Drive cross-functional engagement to embed quality principles across operations, engineering, and supply chain.
 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality Management; Master’s degree preferred.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Lead Auditor (ISO/IATF), Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.



Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Proven track record of managing QMS implementation, audits, and compliance at a global scale.



Technical Expertise:

  • Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 26262, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 standards.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including RoHS, SEMI, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Expertise in audit management, documentation control, and CAPA systems.
