Job Description

Supplier Quality Engineer E-BOM will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for electronic components and materials. This position requires expertise in supplier management, quality control, and a deep understanding of Electronic Bill of Materials (E-BOM) processes.

 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Conduct regular assessments of supplier capabilities and performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee the management of Electronic Bill of Materials (E-BOM) for electronic components.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, version control, and configuration management of E-BOMs.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize E-BOM structures for quality and manufacturability.
  • Develop and implement robust quality control processes for electronic components.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits of supplier processes and products.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain related to electronic components.
  • Work closely with suppliers to mitigate risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Implement risk assessment methodologies to proactively address quality challenges.
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to address compliance issues.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Provide technical expertise to support design reviews and component selection.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of Electronic Bill of Materials (E-BOM) processes and management.
  • Strong understanding of electronic component manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Experience with quality management systems and tools.
