About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced CAM Programmer to develop, validate, and optimize CNC machining programs using NX CAM. The role involves creating machining strategies, generating NC programs, validating tool paths, supporting production, and driving continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
CAM Programming & Development
- Develop CNC machining programs using NX CAM based on 3D models and engineering drawings
- Define machining operations, cutting strategies, tool paths, and machining parameters.
- Select and optimize cutting tools for performance, quality, and productivity.
- Generate and verify CAM programs prior to production release.
Simulation & NC Code Validation
- Perform tool path simulations and virtual machine validation.
- Generate NC programs using approved post-processors.
- Validate NC codes and eliminate collisions, interference, and programming errors.
Process Engineering & Production Support
- Validate 3D CAD models against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret GD&T requirements and ensure machining compliance.
- Support CNC operators and process engineers during prove-out activities.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze inspection and quality reports to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement corrective actions and validate process changes.
- Drive cycle time reduction, productivity enhancement, and quality improvement initiatives.
Documentation
- Prepare setup sheets, tooling details, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Maintain manufacturing standards and programming records.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum 7+ years of NX CAM experience for Engineering graduates.
- Minimum 8+ years of NX CAM experience for Diploma holders
