Purpose

To translate WI, guidelines and SOPs designed by the engineering team into executable operations by the production team and continuously work on improvements, specifically for CNC

Key Responsibility

- Ensures cycle time reduction to enhance efficiency of operations
- Ensures optimum tool (cutting tools for machining) usage and selection
- Audits for CAM Programming and ensure the correct locking of the program to avoid any manual / operational error by operators
- Validates correction monitoring, i.e. ensures the right modification of programs according to the tools required and controls the log maintaining for each modification in the program

- Evaluates the Manufacturing process for continuous improvement, researches and adds modifications for the efficient process development
- Revamps the existing processes and includes the new process to improve and ensure the efficiency of manufacturing
- Ensures  the product quality throughout the production cycle
- Analyzes products and process reports (machine capability, machine hours, machine efficiency etc.)

- Ideates and monitors the fixtures feasibility to be used on shop floor and provides the development support for fixtures 
- Performs cost analysis for the fixtures and SPM (Special purpose machines)

- Guides the production department on manpower and machine requirements to achieve the target production

- Ensures timely and effective team onboarding, goal-setting and performance management
- Provides on the job training to new setters, CAM programmers and designers
- Mentors and coaches team members on careers (technical and behavioral aspects of the job)
- Resolves conflicts and grievances (if any)

Qualification

B.E / B.Tech - Mechanical / Production / Industrial
Diplona - Mechanincal / Production / Industrial 

Experience

8 - 10 years experience in CNC machining - For BE/B.Tech
10 - 12 year experience in CNC machining - For Diploma

Additional Technical Requirements

CAM / CAD - Mandatory
