Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. Brief Summary:

The Program Manager – Electronics Hardware Delivery will lead end‑to‑end execution of hardware programs within an EMS environment, acting as the primary bridge between customers and cross‑functional internal teams. The role ensures that product design, development, NPI, and mass production meet customer expectations on quality, cost, and schedule while driving strong coordination, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of electronic hardware products from concept through volume manufacturing.
  • Serve as the key customer interface, ensuring alignment on requirements, deliverables, and program expectations.
  • Build and manage comprehensive program plans including design, schedule, budget, and quality metrics.
  • Drive cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, NPI, operations, supply chain, and quality to meet program milestones.
  • Identify technical, supply chain, and schedule risks and execute mitigation plans proactively.
  • Oversee change control processes (ECO), assessing impacts on cost, schedule, and resources.
  • Ensure validation, testing, and compliance activities meet reliability, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Track KPIs such as yield, on‑time delivery, and customer returns to drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate smooth design transfer, manufacturability optimization, and production readiness.
  • Provide structured program updates, executive summaries, and customer communications.

Essential Attributes:

  • Strong electronics/hardware engineering background with experience across design, prototyping, NPI, and high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in DFM principles, validation processes, hardware testing, and reliability standards.
  • Deep understanding of EMS operations (PCBA, mechanical assembly, testing, quality control).
  • Skilled in BOM management, PLM/ERP systems, change management, and standard industry design rules.
  • Expertise in project management tools (MS Project or equivalent), documentation, planning, and risk management.
  • Ability to prepare clear reports, summaries, and stakeholder‑ready documentation using MS Office tools.
