Responsibility: 

 

Lead the equipment engineering, maintenance, equipment installation, qualification and continuous improvement activities for EMI shielding processes in an OSAT manufacturing environment. 

The role will be responsible for establishing and sustaining a highly reliable, automated and scalable equipment infrastructure covering EMI shielding processes such as attach, pre treatment, sputtering, detach and AOI. 

The position will work closely with Technology development, Process Engineering, Quality, SCM and Operation to ensure successful equipment selection, installation, qualification, capacity ramp up and sustained HVM performance. 

 Technology Roadmap 

-Participate in evaluating equipment suppliers, technology maturity, scalability, automation and total cost of ownership.

-Drive standardization of equipment platforms, critical spares, software and control systems wherever practical. 

 Equipment Installation and Commissioning 

-Lead equipment installation, commissioning for ramp-up for EMI shielding manufacturing lines. Ensure equipment readiness against NPI and HVM ramp schedules. 

-Coordinate with suppliers for equipment installation, debugging, performance improvement and acceptance. 

-Establish equipment acceptance criteria covering UPH, uptime, reputability, process capability, safety and quality. 

 Maintenance & Others 

-Establish robust PM and predictive maintenance programs for all  critical equipment. 

-Define maintenance frequencies based on equipment reliability, failure history and OEM recommendations. 

-Establish critical spare-parts strategy and inventory levels. 

-lead structured 8D for chronic equipment failures. 

-Establish equipment capability before transferring processes to HVM. 

-Drive automation and digitalization initiatives such as SPC integration, Recipe management etc. 

-Develop a roadmap toward smart manufacturing with improved equipment visibility and reduced manual intervention. 

-Develop local supplier capability for critical maintenance and spare parts wherever feasible. 

-Drive cost reduction through equipment modification, automation, localization and spare parts optimization. 

-Develop 24*7 support capability for HVM operations. 

-Promote a strong zero-repeat failure and preventive maintenance culture. 

-Lead equipment safety risk assessments to ensure corrective actions are being implemented.

 

Essential Attribute:

 

  • Knowledge of Emi shielding requirements, Shielding effectiveness, coating thickness control and SoC is highly desirable. 

  • Strong focus on reliability, quality, safety and cost. 

 

Qualification:

 

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 

 

Desired Experience Level:

 

20 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
