Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance Test Engineer in our semiconductor backend assembly and test operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are consistently met through rigorous quality assurance practices and performance monitoring. This role involves tracking organizational KPIs, conducting audits, and validating compliance with quality standards. You will collaborate closely with Customer Quality Engineers (CQEs) to address customer concerns, manage complaints, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. By driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of quality excellence, you will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and long-term success.


Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, including ISO, IPC, and other relevant standards.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

2. Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of quality processes and procedures.

  • Utilize quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for corrective and preventive actions.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and DMAIC.

3. Customer Quality Management

  • Serve as the primary interface for customer quality issues, complaints, and feedback.

  • Investigate customer complaints, implement corrective actions, and communicate resolution plans in a timely manner.

4. Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand requirements, expectations, and feedback related to product quality.

  • Proactively address customer concerns and implement corrective actions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Participate in customer audits and visits, presenting quality performance data and demonstrating commitment to quality excellence.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

    • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in semiconductor backend manufacturing.

  • Certifications:

    • Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent certifications preferred.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, DMAIC).

    • Specialized knowledge of semiconductor backend equipment, including testers, handlers, and probers.

    • Familiarity with test platforms such as Advantest, Teradyne, and Cohu.

    • Experience with probers such as TEL, Accretech, and SEMICS.

    • Familiarity with handler platforms including Turret, Hontech, and Pick-and-Place systems.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and presentation skills.

    • Proficiency in process control and quality standards.

    • Advanced problem-solving capability with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and structured methodologies.

    • High attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
