End of Line Tooling Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced End of Line Tooling Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tooling design, fabrication, and inspection, specifically within the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and ensuring the functionality of tooling solutions for integrated circuits (ICs) based on product specifications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, supporting both the manufacturing process and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • The Engineer must be experienced in Part and Tool designs (NX & AutoCAD preferable).

  • Must be experienced in checking and providing feedback on the End of Line tooling based on leadframe/Substrate drawings.

  • Must be experienced in designing complicated fixtures, jigs, and tooling for IC packages.

  • Thorough knowledge of GD&T, with working knowledge of stack-up tolerances.

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical fabrication processes.

  • Strong understanding of inspection techniques and tools.

  • Use of measurement tools and other inspection equipment to verify the accuracy of fabricated parts and assemblies.

  • Must have strong English speaking and writing skills.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in tooling design, fabrication, and inspection within the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. NTTF qualification is preferable.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design innovative tooling solutions for the end-of-line processes of integrated circuits (ICs) based on product specifications.

  • Support localization activity by identifying vendors for fabrication based on OEM drawings.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams, to ensure design feasibility and functionality.

  • Work with machine shops, vendors, and in-house teams to fabricate components and assemble the tooling.

  • Perform detailed inspections of tooling to ensure that they meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Develop and maintain inspection documentation to support continuous improvement efforts.
