Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for installation, qualification, and maintenance of analytical and failure analysis (FA) equipment supporting Semiconductor Fab operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure high equipment uptime and reliability.
- Work closely with process, R&D, and quality teams to resolve tool-related issues impacting yield and performance.
- Coordinate with equipment suppliers/vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and spare parts management.
- Monitor tool performance, analyze trends, and drive continuous improvement (CIT) initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency.
- Maintain documentation, logs, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Train technicians and engineers on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
- Support lab operations and contribute to overall equipment strategy and optimization.
- Travel may be required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of semiconductor equipment and maintenance practices
- Knowledge of vacuum systems, automation, or PLC systems is an added advantage
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes is preferred
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and meet timelines.
Desired Experience Level
- 2–5+ years of experience in semiconductor industry or analytical lab environment
- Hands-on experience in equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience working with analytical/FA tools is a plus
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle equipment-related challenges
