About Business
Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.
Tata Electronics is a subsidiary of the Tata group. The Tata Group operates in more than 100 countries across six continents, with the mission 'To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally, through long term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with Trust.
Responsibilities
- Perform Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) to support low yield analysis, reliability issues, and customer returns in semiconductor devices.
- Utilize advanced EFA techniques such as curve tracing, EMMI, OBIRCH, LIVA, and TIVA for fault isolation and defect localization.
- Analyze electrical test data and parametric results to identify failure signatures and yield loss mechanisms.
- Collaborate with Process, Device, Yield, and Reliability teams to drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support wafer-level and package-level failure analysis for rapid turnaround and yield improvement.
- Correlate EFA findings with Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) to confirm defect mechanisms.
- Maintain and troubleshoot EFA tools to ensure high uptime, accuracy, and repeatability.
- Develop and optimize methodologies for efficient fault isolation and yield learning.
- Document analysis results and prepare detailed technical reports for stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (CIT) to enhance analysis capability and turnaround time.
- Train technicians and junior engineers on EFA techniques and best practices.
- Travel may be required.
