Job Summary
The EXIM Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all EXIM operations & activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant international shipments. The role involves close co-ordination with Internal Stakeholders (Mfg., Procurement etc.) External co-ordination (Freight Forwarders, Transporters, CHAs etc.) & other Regulatory agencies. Also to manage and ensure adherence to all import and export regulations, specifically concerning operations under Manufacturing and Other Operations in Warehouse Regulations (MOOWR) scheme, ensuring IDPMS & EDPMS Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Export Operations
- Prepare and verify export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Certificate of Origin, and other regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers for shipment execution.
- Arrange export bookings and track shipment movements until final delivery.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations, trade policies, and country-specific requirements.
Import Operations
- Coordinate import shipments from suppliers and overseas vendors.
- Review import documentation, including Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificates.
- Facilitate customs clearance processes and ensure timely cargo delivery.
- Monitor import duties, taxes, and clearance costs.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of all export-import transactions.
- Ensure adherence to DGFT, Customs, GST, FEMA, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with government agencies, banks, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Manage Letter of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, and payment-related documentation.
Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with procurement, sales, finance, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and customs-related issues.
- Generate reports on shipment status, logistics costs, and compliance metrics.
- Support audits and ensure documentation readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Export-Import Management is preferred.
- 4–8 years of experience in EXIM operations, international logistics, or supply chain management
