About Role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Material Control & Production Control professional to manage end‑to‑end material planning, inventory control, and production planning activities. The role requires strong SAP, MRP, and analytical skills to ensure smooth material flow, on‑time production, and optimal inventory levels while supporting engineering changes and customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Material Control (MC):
- Manage material planning and inbound logistics to support uninterrupted production.
- Work extensively in SAP for material transactions, planning, and reporting.
- Execute MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and analyze shortages & surplus.
- Maintain and control inventory levels, including Excess & Obsolete (E&O) materials.
- Ensure Clear to Build (CTB) status for production readiness.
- Handle materials in & out flow processes with accuracy.
- Support Bill of Materials (BOM) management and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Perform data analysis for inventory, consumption, and forecasting.
- Drive customer focus & customer management by ensuring material availability.
- Apply PSI (Production, Sales, Inventory) and process knowledge for planning optimization.
Production Control (PC):
- Perform capacity planning in alignment with production requirements.
- Prepare and manage GB input plans / production plans.
- Track and support APR commit and production commitments.
- Generate and analyze DPS & PSD reports.
- Monitor Plan vs Actual production performance and drive corrective actions.
- Track MO aging, IO reports, and maintain MO trackers.
- Manage BOH (Build on Hand) for sub‑lines.
- Create and manage Manufacturing Orders (MO) / Work Orders.
- Coordinate closely with cross‑functional teams to implement BOM & ECO changes efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (MM/PP preferred).
- Good understanding of MRP, Inventory Management, and Production Planning.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in material planning, logistics, and production control.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering changes, BOM structures, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2- 4 years Experience in manufacturing / automotive / electronics industry.
- Exposure to customer‑driven production environments.
- Hands‑on experience with data analytics and reporting dashboards.
